The pearly gates of heaven opened and allowed the Angels to come for Barbara (Matti) Keifert, 70, of Lead passed away quietly April 9, 2012 at Rapid City Regional Hospital. She passed away surrounded by her family along with many thoughts and prayers.
Barbara was born November 13, 1941 in Deadwood to Oscar and Gwendolyn Matti. She lived all of her life in Lead. Barbara graduated from Lead High School and National College of Business, she was active in the Eagle's Club and Deadwood Bounty Hunters.
Barbara married Allen Keifert June 12, 1960 in Lead.
She is survived by her daughters, Kimberli (Tim) Shama, Wanda (Mike) Pennel, son, Douglas (Lisa) Keifert, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandson, and brother Harold (Darlene) Matti of Minneapolis.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband Allen Keifert, father, Oscar Matti and mother, Gwendolyn Matti.
Memorial Services will be at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Lead, Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 11:00 am, luncheon to follow. She will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
