Anthony Stone Pate, 25, Rapid City, SD, passed away at home on February 28, 2026.
Anthony Stone Pate was born on September 15, 2000, to his mother Tamera Kay Pate. He grew up in Rapid City, where he lived throughout his life. Anthony graduated from Rapid City High School in 2019. Shortly thereafter he began working at Taco Bell where he continued to work for the past seven and a half years. At Taco Bell, Anthony was known for his work ethic and as a very hard worker, and was up for a promotion soon.
He loved video games; his favorite was Fallout. He enjoyed Dungeons and Dragons and was Dungeon Master for multiple groups. He was kind, generous and with an unlimited capacity to love all things. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart and showed it by his all-encompassing bear hugs. Anthony loved all animals and had a special fondness for rescue animals including his beloved dogs Dennis and Pixel.
Anthony is survived by his loving mother, Tamera Kay Pate of Rapid City; his sister Brianna Kelley of Rapid City; brothers Terrence Pate of Rapid City, and Shawn Pate of Highland Ranch, CO. Anthony had a special girlfriend of three years, Zace Linkton that he loved until his final moments.
He will be deeply missed by his grandparents Lyle and Connie Ericsson of Beulah, WY, uncles Steve Ericsson of Salina, KS, Daniel (Lynda) Ericsson of Minneapolis, MN, and Christopher Ericsson of Beulah. He also leaves behind three nephews who brough him great joy, and a host of cousins’ relatives and friends. Anthony is preceded in death by his grandmother Karen Ericsson.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Amy and Shoun Vanderpol, Seth Kelley, Kristie Harkin, Mary Russell, Starla Pfeifer, and Josh Pangelinan, and all those who impacted his life and helped us through this difficult time.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, March 6, 2026 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. A reception to celebrate Anthony’s life to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help offset Anthony’s final expenses.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish. Online condolences may be written at www.fidler-isburgfuneralchapels.com
