Obituary

AnnaBelle Lundquist, 78 of Deadwood, passed away peacefully with family at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish on Saturday, November 12, after bravely enduring a three year battle with cancer.

Graveside services will be at 2 PM, on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Black Hills National Cemetery. A memorial has been established in her memory.

AnnaBelle (Riley) Lundquist was born May 8, 1938 in Rochford, SD where she attended elementary and middle school. The family relocated to Lead where she attended high school. She met the true love of her life, Harold LeRoy Lundquist, and they were married on October 2, 1954 in Broadus, MT. They enjoyed a loving marriage for 44 years until Harold's passing in June 1999.

AnnaBelle had a ready smile and found a silver lining at every turn. She loved crocheting and quilting and made countless beautiful gifts for her family and friends. She was an enthusiastic gardener and shared her bounty each year with her many treasured friends. Anyone who knew AnnaBelle knew that her three grandchildren were the pride and joy of her life, and she spent countless hours enjoying their company both in South Dakota and her frequent trips to Arizona.

Survivors include her daughter, Roxie L. Catts, and her husband Brian of Tucson, AZ; a son, Brian of rural Deadwood; three grandchildren, Jill Marie Lundquist of Salt Lake City, Riley Lundquist of Lead, and Adelinde Meira Catts of Tucson. AnnaBelle is preceded in death by her sisters, AnnaMae Riplinger and Ruth Roesler and brothers, Emmet and James Riley. The family loved spending time together building new memories and reflecting on the old.

Arrangements are under the care of the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead. Online condolences may be written at www.fidler-isburgfuneralchapels.com
