Anna Marie Canfield, 76 of Sundance, Wyoming passed away Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Rapid City Regional Hospital following complications from a massive brain aneurysm.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, April 7, 2011 at the Sundance United Methodist Church.

A memorial has been established.

Anna was born to Julius J. and Martha (Petersen) Frederiksen on June 23, 1934 at their family home on the prairie near Four Corners, WY. All six children were delivered by midwife, Mary Simpson in the family home. Anna attended school in Sundance and Newcastle and graduated with the class of 1952. She married the love of her life, Wallace Canfield on July 11, 1952 sharing 58 years together. The couple raised seven children together and enjoyed 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with a new one on the way. She absolutely adored her children and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings, gardening, jigsaw puzzles, fancy work and cooking, but most of all, the activities that would involve her family. She kept an amazing house and was always offering a helping hand. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Anna is survived by her seven children; Gary (Christi) Canfield of Sundance, WY, Dave (Jackie) Canfield of Cheyenne, WY, Carolynn Canfield of Gillette, WY, Marilynn (Dick) Rodgers of Gillette, Wy, Cindy (Myron) Madsen of Gillette, WY, Sue (Jerry) Scribner of Sundance, WY and Judi (Bill) Sipe of Sundance, WY, two sisters, Eda (Don) Gose of Upton, WY and Ellen (Dorman) Ewing of Saratoga, WY, two brothers, Karl (Joan) Frederiksen of Casper, WY and Kenneth Frederiksen of Sundance, WY, numerous nieces and nephews, special friends, Bill and Ruta Gartman of Sundance, WY and her special companion, Nemo her dog.
She was preceded in death by her husband Wallace in December of 2010, her parents, sister, Irene Snell and three grandchildren; Les Sipe and Dorothy and Miranda Madsen.
