Ann Joyce Brady, 56, Spearfish, SD, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012, at her home on the Redwater Ranch.
Ann, the youngest of three sisters, was born January 27, 1956, in Belle Fourche, SD, to Joyce (Apland) and Colonel James Vroman, Jr. She grew up on the Vroman Ranch in Harding County, graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1974 and attended South Dakota School of Mines and Technology and Black Hills State College.
Ann married Donald Fred Brady on June 25, 1977 in Belle Fourche, SD. They lived in Gillette, WY, and then on their Redwater Ranch. Ann and Don started their land surveying business, Land Surveying, Incorporated, in 1991. They worked together in their company until selling in 2007, and on their ranch.
Ann and Don traveled the oceans, beaches, islands, and golf resorts with family and friends whenever they could escape their work. After 2007, traveling became their primary profession.
Ann was always busy being a daughter, sister, wife, mother to her nieces and nephews, and mentor to family and friends. There were no strangers for long around Ann, who included and recruited any and all to join in travel and social events to share in the joys of life and the excitement of adventure. Ann was an avid participant in golfing, fishing, scuba diving and cooking.
Ann is survived by her husband, Don; sisters, Jean and her husband Terry Smith, Belle Fourche, and Mary Vroman and her husband Max Main, Belle Fourche; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Paula and James Brady, Austin, Texas, Barbara and Robert Brady, Spearfish, Cynthia and Thomas Brady, Spearfish, and Karina and David Brady, Lima, Peru; nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
Memorial services shall be held at the First United Methodist Church in Spearfish at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012, with all invited to the Redwater Ranch for a BBQ and friendship following the service. Memorials shall go to the Spearfish Rose Hill Cemetery Rose Garden.
