Andrew Blair Young (Jung) was born August 6, 1943, at Gurley, NE, to Victor and Dorothy (Berg) Young (Jung).

In 1944 they moved to Racine, WI and to Pierre, SD in 1948.  He graduated from Riggs High School in Pierre, SD in 1961 and graduated from USD Vermillion in 1965.

In December 1965, he married the love of his life, Connie Green.  They lived in Mandan, ND for two years and then went into the Army at Ft. Campbell, KY for two years after which they returned to Pierre to join the family business, Western States Wholesale.

After a fire destroyed their warehouse in 1978, he sold his company and moved to Spearfish where he continued to work for the new company McKesson Drug.

He retired in 1994 and spent his time in Spearfish and Lake Havasu City, AZ.  He was an avid motorcyclist and prairie dog hunter.  He also loved the Green Bay Packers- Go Pack Go!

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Peter and Thomas.  He is survived by his beloved wife, Connie and daughter, Tiffany and her husband David Smith and the joy of his life, granddaughter, Reagan Smith of Sturgis, SD.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at Fidler Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, SD at 10 A.M.   Committal will be at a later date at the Black Hills National Cemetery.
