Amy Pauline Orr Bohn, 87 of Spearfish was on born February 17, 1927 in Aberdeen, Washington, passed from this world at 8:10 AM, December 15, 2014.
A resident of Seattle, Washington, Amy—many knew her as Polly—had spent her childhood at her grandmother's home in Washington State's Black Hills, and the last 20 years, enjoying the idyllic charm of South Dakota's Black Hills at her daughter's home in Spearfish.
She will be dearly missed by friends and family, survived by her five children, Arthur Bohn of Spearfish, SD, Douglas Bohn (Carlene) of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Donald Bohn of New Orleans, Louisiana, Kathy Bohn of Spearfish, SD, Diane Bohn Lasater of Ocean Shores, Washington; her two grandchildren, Diane's son, Anthony Stull (April) of Auburn, WA, Donald's son, Zachary Bohn of Abita Springs, LA; her great-grandchild, Anthony's daughter, Sierra Stull of Frederickson, WA; her extended family, Carlene's son, Greg Timmons of Coeur d'Alene, ID, his daughters, Sarah Timmons and Rachel Timmons of Coeur d'Alene, ID, and her foster son, Jack Barker of Coeur d'Alene, ID. An ever-open mother's heart, she'll be missed by all of those who she held as her own, who held her as their own, personally and professionally.
A spreading of ashes memorial will be held this coming summer when family and friends will be able to, once again, gather in her honor. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local animal rescue or Spirit of the Hills Wildlife Sanctuary, 500 N Tinton Rd, Spearfish, SD 57783.
