Allen Glen Tetrault, 85, life long resident of St. Onge, SD died at his home, on June 9, 2007.

Visitation will be on Thursday, June 14, 2007 from 12:00PM to 4:00 P.M at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, SD. Christian Vigil and Rosary Services will be at 7:00 PM, Thursday, at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Belle Fourche, SD. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 AM, Friday, June 15, 2007 at St. Paul's Catholic Church with Fr. Tim Hoag, as Celebrant. Committal will take place at Gateway to Heaven Cemetery in St. Onge.

Allen was born August 24, 1921 to George and Emma (Beckman) Tetrault at the family home in St. Onge. The family moved from their home in town to the ranch one mile south of St. Onge when he was 15. Allen and his brother "Bud" often referred to as "Ernie", ranched, ran a dairy and farmed until their retirement in 1986. Allen married his sweetheart, Mary Alice McGuigan on June 20, 1944. The following year, his brother Bud married Mary Alice's sister Rosie. The two couples lived and raised their families on the ranch.

Allen's sense of humor and jovial attitude will be missed by all. His life was devoted to his family and his church. One of his favorite pastimes was touring the valley in his blue pickup, waving to neighbors as he passed, and checking out the countryside. He knew what his children were doing each day and beamed with joy when they came to visit. The great grandchildren loved spending time with "Big John".

He is survived by his wife, Mary Alice of St. Onge, four daughters; Jackie Faasisila, of Samoa, twins, Jo (Tom) Casteel of Vale, SD, Sr. Joan "Jan" Tetrault of St. Martin Monastery, Rapid City, SD, Julie (Todd) Baumann of Berthoud, CO and son, Glen (Patty Heggem) Tetrault of Spearfish, SD. 14 Grandchildren Ianesi (Joe) Enosa, Karene (Paul) Chan Tung, Morina Faasisila, Aleni Faasisila, Travis Casteel, Tommi Jo (Bart) Krautschun, Tate Baumann, Tiffany Baumann, Mikayla Tetrault, Lacey (Kevin) Kirk, Tessa (Wayne) Eaton, Calli Tetrault, Kassidy Tetrault, and Sydney Tetrault; 13 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Allen is preceded in death by his parents, George and Emma Tetrault, sister, Adele Hellesund, brother, Carl "Bud" Tetrault and son-in-law, Initatu Faasisila.

A memorial has been established for St. Paul's Catholic Church Stained Glass Window Fund and the St. Onge Community Hall.

Arrangements have been placed in the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel of Spearfish, SD.
