Allen B. "Rocky" Clark, 93 of Spearfish, South Dakota passed away Sunday, June 15, 2014 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center.
Private family services will be held at Black Hills National Cemetery, near Sturgis, SD.

Rocky was born August 31, 1920 in Hollister, California to Ruth (White) and Alfred Clark. He graduated from Santa Barbara, California in 1939. Following graduation he joined the US Army Air Corps and served from 1940-1945 flying P-38's during WWII. Following his honorable discharge from the service, he returned to Santa Barbara, where he met and married Alice Foster Woodberry from Beverly, Massachusetts in 1945, the couple married in Salinas, CA. Following retirement the couple settled in Spearfish to be near family, where he shared his knowledge of jewelry making and rock hounding with those around him.

Rocky was a member of the American Legion, Elks and Shriners Clubs. He and Alice enjoyed panning gold in Northern California and both were members of California and Arizona rock hounding clubs. Rocky and Alice also enjoyed traveling in Europe and the United States.

Rocky is survived by his three daughters; Pamela Frasier and her son Ryan, both of Spearfish, Sharyn (Gary) Crawford of Doniphan, MO and their children Carrie of Ava, MO and Tracy of Columbia, SC and Sheila (Jack) McKean of Sturgis, SD and their children; John of Sturgis, Andy of Seattle, WA and Jennifer of Rapid City, SD, Rocky is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, his parents, brother, Grayson and sister, Dorothy.
