Alice Edna Sessions, 93, died at Fountain Springs Nursing home in Rapid City on April 9, 2016. She was born January 25, 1923 in Newark, NJ. She grew up in New Jersey and New York, graduating high school in 1940.

She attended Iowa State University at Ames, Iowa where she met her husband William (Bill) Sessions. They were married February 14, 1943 in Somerville, NJ. Following WW II, they lived in Burlington, Iowa where Bill had his veterinary practice. They later lived in Sioux Falls, Redfield, and Spearfish, SD.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband in 2000. She is survived by four sons: William Lad (Vicki) of Lexington, VA; Robert Alan (Lori) of Iowa City, IA; Donald Paul (Margaret) of Box Elder, SD; and Timothy Dale of Roselle Park, NJ; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, community volunteer, and an active member of the United Methodist Church. Memorial services will be at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at United Methodist Church in Spearfish. Inurnment will be on Monday, April 18 at 11:00 AM at Black Hills National Cemetery.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
