Alice Marie Sweet, also known as Ado, was born en route to the hospital in Van Nuys, California on October 23, 1953, to Joan Komnenus. At a young age, she and her brother Terry were adopted by Harry and Ardith Ridge of Garden Grove, California. At 16, she moved back in with her biological mother, Joanie, and her younger brothers Kevin and Chris Komnenus. She married Richard Moore of California City in 1970 and had two sons, Shad Moore in 1973 and Justin Moore in 1974. She later moved to Colorado, where she had her son Travis West in 1981. In 1986, she welcomed her daughter Krista Marie Callin.

From approximately 1988 to 2000, she lived in Nevada before relocating to Alabama from 2003 to 2006 and eventually settling in Upton, Wyoming until her passing on February 9, 2025.

Ado had a passion for horses and nature from a young age and created lasting memories of family outings and camping trips with her children. Her unique and distinctive interior decorating style left a lasting impression on all who visited her home.

Ado lived life to the fullest, embracing joy and love with her friends and family. She was known for her sharp wit, humor, and candidness, which added to her charm and charisma. She was the pillar of her family, always putting them first. Ado will be deeply missed by all who knew her as a cherished friend, sister, mother, and grandmother.

Siblings: Terry Ridge, Dana Seufert, Robert Baldwin, Kevin Komnenus, Christopher Komnenus

Ado was preceded in death by adoptive parents Harry and Ardith Ridge, mother Joanie Komnenus (Howland), mother-in-law Leona Carpenter, ex-husband Richard Moore, uncle John Howland, grandmother Martha (Marty) Sisco, and brother Christopher Komnenus.

A memorial service in honor of Ado is planned to take place in Las Vegas soon.
