Albert Laverne "Bud" Tetreault, 87, of Spearfish, SD died on August 13, 2011 at Fort Meade Hospice.

Bud was born in Deadwood, SD on November 9th, 1923 to Albert Tetreault and Marie (Stanton) Tetreault. He graduated from Spearfish High School in 1939 and attended the School of Mines. He left college to join the Navy in 1941 until 1945. He married Beverly Brustkern in 1949 in St. Onge. They lived in Whitewood, Sturgis, Belle Fourche and finally Spearfish for the past 39 years. He managed grain elevators and later was a feed salesman. They bought the Spearfish Bookstore in 1974. In later days he also sold real estate.

He was a charming, intelligent and humble man of great integrity. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly and six children: Rick (Lori) Tetreault of Whitewood, Scott (Carole) Tetreault of Spearfish, Todd Tetreault of Concord, CA, Jedd (Laurie) Tetreault of Raleigh, NC, Betsy (Mike) Ellis of Chino Hills, CA and Margaret (Aaron) Braun of Spearfish: 14 grandchildren: Blane (Bridget) Tetreault, Shaun Tetreault, Jesse (Lyndsay)Tetreault, Chris (Kelly) Tetreault, Tabitha(Patrick) Snyder, Nikole Tetreault, Danyell Tetreault, Michal Tetreault, Conner Tetreault, Shiloh Ellis, Sierra Ellis, Tate Ellis, Devon Braun and McKenna Braun: and 5 great grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial for Bud will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish, with Father Kerry Prendiville as Celebrant. A memorial has been established to the Fort Meade Veterans Administration Medical Center Hospice Unit.
