Adela Marie Loseke, 90, of Spearfish, SD, passed away on Friday, January 27, 2012, at Garden Hills Assisted Living.

Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M.on February 4, 2012 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish. Visitation will begin at 1:00 P. M . at the church. Private family burial will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Sioux Falls, SD at a later date. A memorial has been established to Our Savior's Lutheran Church Quilting Group.

Adela was born on February 26,1921, in rural Platte Center, NE, to Gerhardt and Alice (Schulte) Harms. She attended rural schools in Platte Center and graduated from Platte Center High School. On September 9, 1950, she married Walter Herman Loseke of Leigh, NE. They resided on a farm near Newman Grove, NE, where she was active at Salem Lutheran Church. In 1982, they moved to Sioux Falls, to help care for their three grandsons. She was active at Peace Lutheran Church. After her husband's death in 2002, Adela moved to Spearfish to live with her daughter, Fern.

Adela was an active member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, in Spearfish, and spent time with the quilting group making a large number of quilts and special Christmas quilts for the Julefest at the church.

Survivors include her daughter, Fern (Larry) Patterson of Spearfish; grandchildren, Larry (Maria) of Eagan, MN, Ryan of Spearfish, Brent (Nhung) of Sheridan, WY; great-granddaughter Stefanie Lynn of Eagan, MN; many nieces and nephews and special cousin, Adelia Hilger Olson of Norfolk, NE. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Walter; sisters, Lena, Anna, Emma, Christina, and Sophia; brothers, Walter and John.
