Robert “Bob” Kaiser 73, Belle Fourche, SD formerly of Winner passed away peacefully December 22, 2011 at the Fort Meade Hospice Center after battling a short but courageous battle of cancer.
Bob was born December 12th, 1938 to Henry and Ella (Klundt) Kaiser in Winner, SD. He graduated from Colome SD, then after graduation he enlisted in the National Guard and was drafted into the Army in 1959 and stationed in Korea for 13 months. Bob was united in marriage to Marcella Leetch at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Winner on October 14, 1956. To this union three children were born, Rick, Greg and Holly.
Bob had been involved in sales a great portion of his life. For 12 years while working for AAL he won many salesmen’s awards and received many trips. After moving to Spearfish and managing a motel for three years for his brother, he then bought the Sinclair Station and sold cars under the name “Bob’s Auto Sales.” In 1984 Bob starting selling cars for Juneks Service and was the sales manger for 16 years. After retiring he went to work for Dakota Bus for 7 ½ years driving school bus and charter for many activities. The last five years he was voted Athlete Bus Driver of the Year, a reward he was very proud of.
Bobs’ main and most important hobby was his yard in which he took great pride in. People will remember his great sense of humor. He always had a way of making someone laugh, especially his three grandchildren who all adored him extremely.
Throughout his life Bob was active in the Winner Boxing Club, coaching his two sons and many others. He was also always a great supporter of his daughter and grandchildren in any way he could.
Bob is survived by his wife of 55 years Marcella, two sons Rick (Kathy) Kaiser, Omaha, NE, and Greg (Lori) Kaiser, Watertown, daughter, Holly Kaiser and significant other Jim Swaby, Whitewood; two grandsons Lucas (Amanda) Kaiser, Watertown, Quentin Geddes (fiancé Brooke Tellinghuisen), Rapid City, and one granddaughter Kendra Geddes, Cheyenne WY; two great grand-children Aidan and Audrina Kaiser, Watertown; and two sisters, Irene (Ted) Kindt and Shirley (Verlyn) Parkis all of Winner. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers, Johnny Kaiser, Washington, Harold Kaiser, Pierre, and Don Kaiser, Spearfish.
Visitation will be held Monday December 26, 2011 from 5-7 with a family prayer service at 7 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral Service will be at 10:30am on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Hope Lutheran Church in Spearfish, followed by burial at Black Hills National Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to the Fort Meade Hospice in memory of Bob Kaiser.
